Scriptures
tells us and warns us about our slacking-off in our faith and continually
sinning as a common attitude of all the human beings. The scripture doesn't talk much about our sins we do unknowingly in our day-to-day lives but emphasizes on the act of doing sin deliberately.
If
we know idol worshiping, speaking rubbish and unhealthy, telling a lie,
hurting others through words and actions and so on and on is sin; but still
keep on doing these things in our lives as a part of my behaviour and attitude,
these sins are not forgiven; and the word also tells us that if we keep doing
the sins deliberately then it would not be forgiven by God.
This
sinful behaviour is the evidence to what kind of relationship we live with
Almighty God. The continuity of sin is nothing but rejection of Jesus Christ in
our life. This foretells that we are Christians just (born Christians) for the
name sake and in fact through our minds and hearts we have not received Jesus
as Christ – our Saviour. We rejected him like the Pharisees and the Jews of his
times. We have received the knowledge of the life and the truth; but we still
turn our backs towards the truth. There is no other alternative way of
forgiveness and acceptance of God except through the sacrificial death of our
Lord Jesus Christ. Continually sinning means rejection and denial of Jesus
Christ is actually trampled the Son of God, His Holiness, His righteousness,
His precious sacrifice, His love and His resurrection under foot. Rejecting him
is rejecting Almighty God and the Holy Spirit.
Peter and Thomas repented and God forgave them and then
used them for His glory; but we acted like Judas Iscariot, we do not want
repent and ask for forgiveness.
Almighty
God calls us by our names that are engraved on His palm saying: -
Isaiah 118
|
“--- though your sins are like
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they
shall be like wool.”
|
Joel 213
|
“Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to
the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and
abounding in love and he relents from sending calamity.”
|
Hosea 66
|
“For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and
acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offering.”
|
1 kings 1821
|
“--- How long will you waver between two options?
If the Lord is God, follow him; if Baal is God, follow him.”
|
Rev. 315-16
|
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold or
hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So because you are lukewarm –
neither hot or cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”

Almighty
God wants us to repent and ask for forgiveness. He is ready to deliver us from
our sins provided we accept them and ask for the mercies of Almighty God. He
has promised us to forgive all our sins if we ask for forgiveness from the
depth of our hearts and believe that He is capable and able to save us and
deliver us from our sins.
